GOALS OF THE NATIONAL BLACK RAILROADERS’ HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Ø To preserve and promote Black American History, cultural heritage and overall contributions to industry and progress in this country through the support and inclusión of African-American history and cultural in museums and cultural centers.
Ø To edúcate, develop mutual understanding , tolerance, peace and equality among America’s diverse ethnic groups
Ø To organize cultural and educational groups that bring people together to share and appreciate Black culture through industry, music, arts, crafts and cuisine
Ø To provide Young Americans with a source of information on Black America’s rich culture and many contributions to building this society
Ø To support a permanent exhibit highlighting the contributions of Blacks in the railroad industry
To provide scholarships for deserving Black students in transportation, hospitality management and engineering
